Job summary

Oracle is seeking an engineering executive to lead the OCI Storage organization, overseeing production services and multi-year initiatives. The role combines deep distributed-systems expertise with strong leadership to build high-performing teams and guide strategic storage innovations at global scale.

The ideal candidate has experience in large-scale transformations, architecture decisions, and reducing latency while maintaining cost efficiency across cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience managing organizations of ~50 engineers.
• Proven ability to drive modernization and architectural refactoring.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems architecture, scalability and reliability.
• Experience with major cloud providers (OCI, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Responsibilities

• Lead a large, geographically distributed engineering organization for OCI Storage.
• Ensure reliability and continuous improvement of production systems.
• Deliver large-scale, multi-year infrastructure initiatives.
• Build new product incubations shaping OCI Storage.
• Drive evolution of next-generation storage platforms across Oracle’s global cloud.
• Oversee architectural decisions on data movement, caching, latency, scalability, cost, durability vs availability.
• Create capacity for ongoing innovation while maintaining operational excellence.
• Collaborate with OCI leaders to define long-term tech strategy and execution.
• Mentor and develop engineering leaders and distributed teams.
