Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) seeks IC6 Software Engineers to shape Storage. You'll design and build foundational services supporting Oracle's global cloud platform, solving complex infrastructure challenges and guiding architectural direction.

You’ll mentor engineers and influence cloud storage as AI workloads evolve, with a bachelor’s degree preferred and advanced degrees a plus. This role targets Nashville-area candidates with US-based scope.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced degree a plus.
Experience in designing and building large-scale distributed systems.
Experience with cloud platform technologies and infrastructure

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable distributed systems for Oracle Cloud Storage.
Build foundational services within Core Storage, Metadata, or Web Service layers.
Tackle data movement, scalability, reliability, and performance challenges.
Design systems for massive datasets across regions with low latency and high availability.
Improve platform efficiency via architectural improvements, refactoring, and operational simplification.
Mentor engineers and drive architectural direction across teams.
Collaborate to evolve the architecture supporting Oracle's global cloud infrastructure.
Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions.
