Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking experienced IC6 Software Engineers to design and build scalable storage systems for Oracle's global cloud platform. You will work alongside senior engineers to shape foundational services, improve infrastructure, and drive architectural excellence.

The role demands expertise in distributed systems, cloud environments, and proficiency in Java/C++/Go/Rust, with a bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong infrastructure engineering background near the underlying technology stack.
• Experience working in public cloud environments (OCI, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop highly scalable distributed systems supporting Oracle Cloud Storage.
• Build foundational services within Core Storage, Metadata, or Web Service layers.
• Improve platform efficiency through architectural enhancements and refactoring.
• Collaborate across engineering teams to evolve the cloud storage architecture.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical direction.
