Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Chief Engineer – Production to provide senior technical leadership for production, sustainment, and lifecycle support of MUAS products. You will serve as the primary technical authority, ensuring safety, reliability, manufacturability, and compliance with customer and business requirements.

The role requires leading cross-functional teams, guiding engineering changes, and improving producibility, yield, and product quality across production and fielded systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• 15+ years of progressive engineering experience in aerospace/defense/unmanned systems or related field.
• Experience as a technical lead or chief engineer.
• Experience with engineering change management and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical authority for MUAS production and sustainment programs.
• Maintain technical ownership of product baselines, architecture, interfaces, and performance.
• Lead engineering support for products in production and field deployment.
• Drive resolution of complex design, manufacturing, and reliability issues.
