Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to provide engineering support across internal and external facilities, driving Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, and leading planning, task management, and execution to meet schedule, cost, and quality targets.

The role focuses on composite fabrication, subassemblies, final integration and testing, and requires strong leadership to coordinate with program managers and other functional leaders to achieve pivotal program objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising manufacturing or engineering teams.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
• Knowledge of DFMEA/PFMEA processes and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with aerospace or similarly regulated industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports development, maintenance, and improvement of manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality.
• Leads task tracking and project management to align with schedules and milestones.
• Establishes standard hours and operation sequences for production processes.
• Leads cross-functional teams on cost estimation, tooling, and manufacturing workflows.
• Executes Design for Manufacturing and reliability analyses with engineering teams.
