Job summary
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Chief Engineer - Level 7 in the Boulder/CO area to lead a multi-disciplinary software engineering program within the Missile Defense Integration BU. The role reports to the regional Software Engineering Director and interfaces with government customers to drive system architectures and technical direction.

Qualifications
- BS in STEM with 16+ years relevant experience; 14+ with MS; 12+ with PhD.
- Active Secret clearance at time of application.
- US citizen.
- Minimum 10 years leading large engineering teams.
- Experience in Missile Defense programs.
- Working knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Experience applying Software Engineering Principles and Operating Practices.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical authority for the assigned program.
- Lead a multi-disciplined engineering team to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
- Interface with program director and customer.
- Collaborate to resolve engineering conflicts and provide innovative solutions.
- Assess risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Mentor technical staff and transfer knowledge.
- Interface with stakeholders to ensure system integration.
- Present technical solutions to senior leadership and collaborate across units.
- Lead AI-assisted software development initiatives.
