Waterford Hotel Group seeks a Chief Engineer to lead the engineering team for the Connecticut Convention Center and Front Street District assets. The role focuses on maintaining facilities to high standards, coordinating schedules, and supervising repairs with an emphasis on energy efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities include responding to emergencies, supervising staff, and coordinating with external contractors while ensuring top-tier guest experiences and asset reliability.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in a convention center or large venue.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work at heights over 30 ft.
• Strong troubleshooting of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems.
• Good communication and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to the engineering team.
• Respond to emergencies and be on call 24/7.
• Coordinate schedules and projects at the center.
• Oversee maintenance of HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and energy conservation standards.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and manage outside contractors.
