Job summary
GMRE Inc. seeks a Chief Engineer to act as the independent technical authority across current and future programs, ensuring airworthiness, safety, and rigorous engineering evidence for significant decisions.
You will partner with the Director of Engineering to align capability with strategic growth in the DoD aviation sector. This role requires extensive experience leading technical reviews, mitigating risks, and mentoring senior engineers while supporting senior leadership decisions at the
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in systems, electrical, mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering field is required.
- Twenty or more years in design, development, integration, verification, testing, production, or sustainment of complex aerospace/defense systems.
Responsibilities
- Reports to VP and works with Director of Engineering as a peer.
- Serve as senior technical advisor to GMRE leadership and customers.
- Provide independent technical oversight across GMRE's program and technology portfolio.
- Review major proposals, new technologies, and strategic initiatives for technical rigor.
