Job summary

Prestige Staffing is seeking a Chief Engineer for a groundbreaking aerospace program based in Austin, Texas, with demand for leadership across vehicle design, testing, and flightworthiness. You will own the technical design and serve as the final authority on flight readiness, guiding a multi-disciplinary team from concept through build and test.

Qualifications

• BS in Aerospace, Mechanical, or a related engineering field (MS a plus).
• Experience as Chief Engineer, IPT Lead, or senior technical authority on a full vehicle program, from concept through build, test, and flight.
• Test campaign experience and strong systems-level analysis skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams under schedule pressure.
• FAA or EASA certification familiarity.
• Rotorcraft or launch vehicle experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the vehicle design and lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
• Drive trade studies and run design reviews.
• Plan and run test campaigns, and feed the results back into the design.
• Partner with manufacturing on the move to production.
• Be the main technical contact for suppliers, test facilities, and certifying bodies.
• Help build out the engineering organization.
