Job summary

Prestige Staffing is seeking an Aerodynamics Lead for a fast-growing tech company in Austin. You will own aerodynamic analysis, build full vehicle models, and guide aero decisions across design, propulsion, and flight dynamics teams.

The role offers significant ownership, broad collaboration, and a path to building and guiding a new aerodynamics team. Remote-friendly and travel up to 25% are included in the package.

Qualifications

• BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred).
• 5+ years of hands-on aerodynamics experience on a flying vehicle program.
• Strong CFD skills and test campaign experience.
• Ability to make trade-off calls under schedule pressure.
• Rotorcraft or launch vehicle experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build the full vehicle aerodynamic model and simplified models for design optimization.

Salary: $150K-$200K

Location: Downtown Austin, TX 78701 (Open to fully remote as well)

Travel: up to 25%

A well-funded, fast-growing technology company is building a new aircraft from concept through first flight, with a path to production and certification. They’re looking for an Aerodynamics Lead to own the aerodynamic analysis and design and be the voice of authority on all aero decisions.

What You’ll Do

• Build the full vehicle aerodynamic model and simplified models for design optimization
• Plan and run test campaigns, and correlate test and flight data back to the models
• Work with the design and propulsion teams on aerodynamic trades
• Provide aero inputs to the simulation and flight dynamics teams
• Help build out the aerodynamics team

What You Bring
