Qualifications

• 18+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience in large capital infrastructure programs
• Experience leading first-of-a-kind or novel-technology projects from design through commissioning and operation
• Experience operating at Chief Engineer/VP-level with direct accountability to a C-suite audience
• Deep grounding in system integration, reliability engineering, failure analysis, and design-for-operability principles
• Comfort leading through technical ambiguity, competing priorities, schedule pressure, and high-consequence risk
• Familiarity with hazard reviews such as HAZOP and FMEA and regulatory engagement; NRC experience preferred
• Executive presence to represent engineering strategy and risk to the COO and stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Hold single-point executive accountability for engineering execution from design through turnover
• Serve as final technical authority for system design and major technical decisions on a first-of-a-kind facility
• Lead resolution of critical-path technical issues and high-consequence decisions affecting safety, schedule, cost or operability
• Coordinate matrixed engineering resources across mechanical, process, instrumentation & controls, nuclear, safety, and structural disciplines
• Own engineering risk identification and mitigation strategy for the project
• Drive design-for-reliability and design-for-operability across plant systems
• Lead or sponsor technical review boards, hazard reviews, and root-cause investigations
• Serve as engineering signatory for major milestones in design, construction, commissioning, readiness
• Represent Chrysalis engineering strategy and risk to the COO and regulators
• Partner with Finance and Operations on capital planning and schedule decisions
