Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. in Moorpark, California seeks a Vice-President level BGCE for the Precision Strike and Defense Systems (PSDS) Business Group.

The BGCE is the overall technical authority for the PSDS Group, leading a team of engineers to ideate, develop, and sustain products throughout the lifecycle. The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering, 15+ years in aerospace, defense program experience, and strong leadership with UAS lifecycle expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a mechanical, aerospace, electrical, or systems engineering discipline (or equivalent).
• 15+ years of demonstrated experience in aerospace product design and sustainment.
• Experience with Defense products and customers.
• Experience with leading UAS technical teams through the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical authority for the PSDS Group and lead a cross-functional engineering team.
• Drive product roadmaps and translate customer needs into concepts and requirements.
• chairs technical review boards and guides failure analysis and corrective actions.
