Job summary

Anduril Industries Imaging is seeking a Chief Engineer to serve as the technical authority on projects, leading an engineering team through the full product lifecycle and partnering with TPMs to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

You will coordinate with hardware, software, mechanical, and electrical groups to scope resources, drive product development from concept to production, and prepare engineering for Manufacturing Readiness Review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience with leadership roles overseeing multidisciplinary teams and complex system development.
• Experience as technical authority or lead engineer on defense, aerospace, or similarly complex programs.
• Track record of managing engineering teams and delivering programs on cost and schedule in partnership with program management.
• Breadth across multiple engineering domains (hardware, software, mechanical, electrical) and ability to make informed trade-offs across disciplines.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Technical Authority: Own the technical direction for assigned projects, programs, and tasks, making key design decisions and ensuring system integrity across the portfolio.
• Manage Engineering Execution: Plan and track engineering efforts with TPMs, leading staff to meet milestones.
• Oversee Product Development: Guide products from concept to production and coordinate EMD activities for MRR readiness.
• Scope Resources Across Functional Groups: Identify resource needs and ensure right expertise is applied.
• Support Production and Field Issues: Prioritize and drive engineering solutions for production and fielded-system issues.
