Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a senior technical leader to spearhead development of new aircraft capabilities for new customers. You will own technical development from concept refinement through design, build, and flight test, guiding objectives, building a team, and delivering real products on a rapid timeline.

You will leverage extensive experience across aerodynamics, structures, GNC, propulsion, and avionics to ensure a cohesive air vehicle architecture and successful test campaigns, while

Qualifications

• Leadership on a carrier-based Navy aircraft program.
• Hands-on experience leading a multi-disciplinary team through major phase of aircraft EMD (detailed design, prototype build, or flight test).
• Proven track record taking complex aircraft systems from design to flight testing.
• Strong foundation across aerodynamics, structures, GNC, propulsion, and systems integration with carrier suitability.
• Experience with DoD or advanced development aircraft programs.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Technical Execution: Own the technical baseline and lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team through design, integration, and verification.
• Oversee Prototype Build & Integration: Coordinate fabrication and assembly of prototype and development articles.
• Drive the Test Campaign: Plan and execute a comprehensive test program including ground tests and developmental flight tests.
• Manage System Design & Architecture: Guide critical design trades and interface management for a cohesive air vehicle architecture.
• Ensure Airworthiness & Safety: Serve as technical authority for system safety and support flight releases.
• Problem Solve & Troubleshoot: Lead root-cause analysis and implement effective solutions during integration and testing.
• Prepare for Production: Ensure design is production-ready (DFM/DFA) and support transition to production.
• Support deployed flight test and demonstration activities at customer sites.
