Job summary

Dover Precision Components is seeking a Chief Engineer for Waukesha Magnetic Bearings with deep expertise in Active Magnetic Bearings and rotating equipment. The role will set technical direction, ensure design integrity, and lead advanced analyses to meet safety and reliability targets.

Occasional travel between the US and UK facilities is expected, with potential remote-working arrangements for fully qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in design and analysis of rotating equipment or bearings and seals.
• 10+ years in Senior/Principal Engineer roles.
• Significant experience with AMB design and manufacture or OEM integration.

Responsibilities

• Technical Authority: final technical authority for designs and analyses.
• Standards & Governance: enforce engineering standards and best practices.
• Design Integrity: lead critical design reviews and failure investigations.
• Advanced Analysis: perform rotordynamics, stress analysis and CFD.
• Strategic Innovation: lead initiatives for best-in-class product leadership.
• New Technology Development: implement new technologies that are viable.
