Job summary

Dover Precision Components in Houston, TX, seeks a New Product Development Engineer to design, execute, and validate critical components for rotating and reciprocating machinery. This role bridges theoretical mechanical design and real-world performance using advanced data acquisition tools.

You will participate in all phases of technology development, build test rigs for packings, valves, and bearings, and analyze test data to drive iterative design improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Mechatronics engineering.
• 3+ years in NPD, R&D, or test lab focusing on heavy industrial machinery.
• Experience with high-pressure gas loops and high-rotational-speed equipment.

Responsibilities

• Active participation in all phases of technology and new product development projects.
• Design custom test rigs for sealing systems, valves, and bearing assemblies.
• Develop rigorous test protocols and analyze results to drive design improvements.
• Collaborate with design engineers and technicians to translate simulations into tests.
