Job summary

Hyatt Centric Park City is seeking an Assistant Director of Engineering to oversee the hotel's interior, exterior, and building systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and electrical. You will lead the Engineering team, direct maintenance, and ensure safe, efficient operations.

You will also manage preventive maintenance records, assist with OSHA and safety compliance, support capital projects, and respond to emergencies as needed. Strong leadership and on-call readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of engineering management experience, preferably in a luxury hotel
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical systems
• Experience with hotel building systems, soldering, and brazing preferred
• Universal Refrigeration Certification and CPO certification preferred
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to train and mentor team members
• Proficiency with mechanical equipment, maintenance tools, and work-order systems
• Fluent English communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus
• Ability to work on-call, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with hotel departments
• Ability to lift, climb, stand, walk, and work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions

Responsibilities
