Job summary

Hyatt Centric Park City is seeking an Assistant Director of Engineering to oversee the hotel’s interior, exterior and building systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and electrical. You will lead the Engineering team, manage daily operations, and direct routine, preventive and emergency maintenance to ensure safe, efficient hotel operations.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of engineering management experience in a luxury hotel.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Experience with hotel building systems; soldering and brazing preferred.
• Universal Refrigeration Certification and CPO preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to train and mentor team members.
• Proficiency with mechanical equipment, maintenance tools, and work-order systems.
• Fluent English; bilingual abilities are a plus.
• Ability to work on-call and respond to emergencies.
• Physically able to lift, climb, stand, and work in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the hotel's interior, exterior, and building systems including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and electrical.
• Lead the Engineering team and manage daily operations and maintenance activities.
• Direct preventive maintenance and manage records to ensure compliance and reliability.
• Support OSHA, fire, environmental and local safety regulations; assist with capital projects and equipment replacement planning.
• Respond to emergencies as needed and coordinate with hotel departments.
