Job summary

Orangewood Foundation seeks a Chief Development Officer to drive growth across revenue channels and strengthen the Foundation’s brand in Orange County and beyond. You will lead donor strategies, manage major gifts, and collaborate with the Board to shape long‑term fundraising initiatives.

The role reports to the CEO, sits in Development, and requires a seasoned executive capable of strategic leadership, governance, and team mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum twelve years in fundraising with multi‑million dollar goals.
• Experience cultivating major gifts and high‑net‑worth donors.
• Strong leadership, governance, and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct long‑range revenue strategies and brand building across verticals.
• Personally manage major donors and cultivate transformational support.
• Lead development and marketing plans aligned to the strategic plan.
• Develop partnerships with the Board and principal benefactors.
• Mentor the development team and set rigorous goals and accountability.
• Oversee multi‑million‑dollar revenue and expense frameworks.
