Job summary

Banner Health Foundation seeks a seasoned Chief Development Officer to lead philanthropy across neuroscience initiatives, partnering with renowned physicians and researchers to drive transformational Giving. The role builds a nationwide donor pipeline, secures major gifts, and leads a fundraising team across Arizona and beyond.

The executive will craft a bold strategy, engage high-net-worth individuals and foundations, and align donor goals with Banner Health’s research and patient care

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Eight years of major gifts funding experience with senior leaders, corporations, foundations.
• Experience in donor retention and upgrade programs; team leadership and program management; familiarity with fundraising software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute fundraising goals for the Arizona region.
• Provide leadership, training, and support to peers, physicians, councils, and volunteers.
• Personally identify prospects and solicit major gifts; collaborate on complex gift agreements.
• Identify and cultivate prospects; act as a senior representative to maximize funding opportunities.
• Develop engagement and stewardship techniques to increase planned and blended gifts.
• Ensure compliance with policies and professional standards while delivering exceptional donor service.
