Job summary

The Neighborhood: An Urban Center for Jewish Life in Brooklyn seeks a Chief Development Officer to lead fundraising, major gifts, and capital campaigns. You will enhance donor pipelines, messaging, and stewardship while partnering with the CEO and board to drive sustainable growth.

Ideal candidates have seven+ years in major gifts with campaign leadership experience, strong CRM expertise, and a track record of building development systems and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years in major gift fundraising with at least three years in campaign leadership.
• Experience fundraising for a growing organization and managing capital campaigns.
• Ability to craft messaging for diverse donor audiences and develop fundraising systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the full capital campaign strategy, including materials and donor pipeline.
• Develop and maximize philanthropic opportunities, including major gifts and donor recognition initiatives.
• Establish development operations, CRM usage, segmentation, and reporting.
• Engage board and CEO in fundraising strategy and donor meetings.
• Foster a culture of philanthropy across the organization.
