Flagstar Bank in New York seeks Head of Consumer Bank Portfolio Management to own pricing, P&L management, forecasting, and the insights and analytics agenda for the consumer deposit book. This executive role shapes how deposits are priced, how growth aligns with margin, and how the bank’s funding decisions are governed.

You will lead pricing, forecasting, analytics, and the operating model, setting performance standards and building the team responsible for deposit strategy across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Education level: Undergraduate Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: 12+ years in deposit pricing, treasury, balance sheet management, or related finance, including leadership of pricing, P&L management, forecasting, and analytics for consumer deposits.
• Fluency in deposit pricing across product and segment, with growth, retention, and margin trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Deposit portfolio strategy and economics: own economics of the consumer deposit portfolio across product/segment, including cost of funds, mix strategy, and the trade-offs between deposit growth, retention, and margin.
• Sets the multi-year direction for how the deposit book is priced and managed to support the bank's growth agenda.
• Pricing strategy, recommendations, and governance: own rate strategy across the consumer deposit portfolio, standard pricing, promotions, exceptions, and analytics.
• P&L management and forecasting: own the P&L for the consumer deposit portfolio, including interest expense, net interest income, and contribution by product/segment.
• Insights and analytics: own analytics agenda, price elasticity, behavioral segmentation, competitive and market insight, and reporting.
• Portfolio performance management: own performance framework, track cost of funds, acquisition, augmentation, and attrition vs plan.
• Organization, operating model, and talent: build and lead the function, governance with Finance/Treasury, and staff development.
• Additional Accountabilities: perform special projects and ensure regulatory/compliance adherence.
