Job summary

Texas Capital Bank seeks a Chief Data & AI Officer (Executive) to drive the bank's data and artificial intelligence strategy across the enterprise. The role leads a team of around 100 FTEs/contractors spanning data engineering, AI infra, and data governance, reporting to the Chief Digital & Information Officer.

The officer will make data trustworthy and AI repeatable, guiding governance and platform decisions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in data, analytics, or AI leadership.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience governing or deploying AI/LLM technologies and AI security.

Responsibilities

• Define and refine the enterprise data and AI strategy, roadmap, and investment case.
• Own data governance and AI governance across the firm and report to the executive committee and Board.
• Lead the Executive Data & AI Council and arbitrate cross-line-of-business priorities.
• Define operating model with lines of business including domain ownership and data products.
• Oversee data platforms (Kafka, SQL Server, Postgres, Snowflake) and AI infrastructure for LLM deployment.
