Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Head of Data & AI Platform to serve as the firm’s principal Data Architect for AI products and lead a team responsible for the data and intelligence foundation powering the firm’s AI portfolio. This hands-on leader will own the data layer end to end, shape data models, pipelines, and knowledge graphs, and drive learning loops to continuously improve models and retrieval.

Based in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, engineering, or related field.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• 15 years of data architecture and engineering experience.
• Experience with knowledge systems and ontologies.
• Leadership of distributed teams across US and India.
• Strong collaboration across Product, Architecture, and Data.

Responsibilities

• Own the Baker Tilly Intelligence Layer strategy and roadmap.
• Design and build ontology, knowledge-graph, and judgment-graph capabilities.
• Define how practitioner decisions and outcomes are captured and transformed.
• Establish retrieval semantics with evaluation for quality.
• Own end-to-end data layer including architecture, modeling, pipelines.
• Lead data science learning loop to improve models and graphs.
• Hire and mentor senior data engineers and ML engineers.
• Collaborate across US and India engineering teams.
• Transition capabilities from external partners to internal teams.
• Partner with Product Manager for Compass and Architecture.
