Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Head of Data & AI Platform to lead the firm’s data architecture and the Compass intelligence stack. You will own the data layer end-to-end, including ontology, knowledge graphs, and retrieval, while building a high-performing, globally distributed team in the US and India.

This hands-on leader shapes standards and roadmaps for data, ML, and intelligence capabilities. You will collaborate with Product, Architecture, Engineering, and SME teams to ensure scalable,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 15 years in data architecture, engineering, and platforms with leadership of senior teams.
• Experience designing knowledge systems with ontologies and graphs that support apps.
• Expertise in data modeling, contracts, identity resolution, and scalable pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own the Baker Tilly Intelligence Layer strategy, architecture, and roadmap for ontology and knowledge graph.
• Design ontology and knowledge-graph capabilities with US and India engineering teams.
• Capture decisions, outcomes, and system traces to create reusable intelligence.
• Establish retrieval semantics, evaluate quality, and improve model performance.
• Lead end-to-end data layer, modeling, pipelines, and data quality for AI products.
• Build scales for structured/unstructured data; partner with data org to reuse enterprise data.
• Own learning loop through production signals, feedback, outcomes, and traces.
• Lead corpus engineering, document extraction, ground-truth, and synthetic data efforts.
