Job summary

EZCORP is seeking a Director of Cyber Security to lead and develop a technical security team responsible for endpoint security, detection, monitoring, and vulnerability management across the U.S. store estate and LATAM operations.

You will serve as the senior technical authority for tool domains (EDR, SIEM, WAF, etc.), manage the MSSP relationship, and own escalation decisions for security incidents, while aligning with PCI DSS Level 1, GLBA, and NIST CSF requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/cybersecurity or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in information security, with 4+ years leading technical teams.
• Hands-on depth in EDR, SIEM, WAF, vulnerability management, email security, cloud security, or identity security.
• Experience managing an MSSP and outsourced security operations.
• Experience designing and evidencing technical controls for regulated frameworks (PCI DSS, GLBA, NIST CSF).
• Experience as senior escalation authority during active incidents.
• CISSP, CISM, or equivalent senior security certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor security engineering teams responsible for endpoint security, detection, monitoring, and remediation.
• Own architecture direction across tool domains and resolve complex technical problems.
• Manage MSSP relationship including SLAs, escalation, and renewals.
• Act as Tier 2/3 escalation point for incidents along with containment decisions.
• Ensure controls for PCI DSS Level 1, GLBA, NIST CSF are designed, evidenced, maintained.
• Define security architecture standards for network segmentation and IAM boundaries.
• Lead scope definition for CDE in US and LATAM payment architectures.
• Develop security roadmap and security budget alignment.
• Report on team health and risk posture to CISO and executives.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to remediate vulnerabilities within SLAs.
• Ensure security requirements are embedded in new store, cloud, and AI-enabled tech per AI governance.
• Participate in on-call rotation for MSSP escalations and incident response.
