Job summary

Cencora seeks a Senior Director of Cyber Defense Architecture & Engineering to lead strategy, design, engineering, and continuous improvement of enterprise detection, response, and threat mitigation capabilities. You will build resilient, automated cyber defense platforms across endpoints, networks, cloud, identity, data, and SaaS environments.

Work with CISOs and senior technology leaders to establish a scalable defense vision, drive cross-team collaboration, and advance security maturity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information security, or related field.
• Master’s degree in business, IT, or related discipline is preferred.
• 12+ years of directly-related or relevant experience with 8+ years in leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise cyber defense architecture strategy.
• Develop layered defense models across endpoints, network, cloud, identity, and SaaS.
• Establish detection engineering standards and reference architectures.
• Collaborate on Zero Trust monitoring and enforcement architecture.
• Present defense posture maturity and roadmaps to executives.
• Lead evaluation of new tools and technologies for Cyber Defense.
• Define logging standards and telemetry requirements.
• Oversee MITRE ATT&CK mapping across detections.
• Drive automation and policy-as-code for response workflows.
• Lead global team of detection engineers and automation specialists.
