Job summary

University of North Texas at Dallas is seeking a Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to lead a comprehensive compliance program across the UNT Dallas campus. The CCO will advise senior management, monitor performance, and develop Policies and training to promote ethical and lawful conduct.

The role requires a senior leader with extensive experience in compliance, risk management, and regulatory relations, capable of coordinating with legal, regulators, auditors, and internal stakeholders. Hours vary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in law, business, finance, accounting, or related field; 10 years of experience in compliance, risk management, audit, or legal roles; professional certification in compliance (CCEP/CRCM/CRCMP) or ability to obtain within one year.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and update the compliance program, including policies, procedures, standards, training, and communication, to prevent and detect violations of law, regulations, policies, or the Code of Conduct/Ethics.
• Conduct an annual risk assessment to inform the development of an annual work plan for Board of Regents approval.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness using various metrics, reporting results and recommendations to senior management and the board.
• Lead and direct compliance staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Coordinate with campus programs for consistency in compliance tools, policies, and reporting.
• Lead compliance training development to enhance ethical behavior across the organization.
