Job summary

Five Star Bank is seeking a Chief Compliance Officer in Warsaw, NY, to lead the compliance and ethics functions across the bank and its investment affiliate. The CCO will maintain the Compliance Program, oversee risk assessments, testing, monitoring, and policy governance, and partner with business leaders to manage risk and regulatory change.

The role requires 10+ years in banking compliance with strong leadership experience, and preferred CRCM certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, management, organizational leadership or related curriculum.
• Master’s Degree in business, management, organizational leadership or related curriculum (preferred).
• Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Direct the Company’s compliance strategy and maintain ongoing Compliance Program.
• Lead regulatory change management and address applicable laws and regulations.
• Oversee risk assessments, testing, monitoring, and remediation for compliance.
• Manage the Compliance Department staff and set governance across committees.
• Chairs the Compliance Committee and interfaces with Board and senior management.
• Oversee complaint management and regulator/auditor communications.
• Foster a strong compliance culture and alignment with risk management.
