Global Fintech Talent is seeking a Chief Compliance Officer / BSA Officer to lead the US compliance programme for an international digital assets business. This role is remote within the United States and reports to the Board, with authority over filing decisions and a hands-on, practical approach to compliance.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in BSA/AML within US-regulated finance, including 3+ years as a BSA Officer, and strong OFAC expertise.

Remote within the US | Full-time | $160,000 - $225,000 gross annually

I’m recruiting for a Chief Compliance Officer / BSA Officer to lead the US compliance programme for an international digital assets business.

This is a hands-on role with ownership of an established US BSA/AML and OFAC programme. You’ll have the authority to make filing and risk decisions independently, direct access to the Board, and support from a wider group compliance team.

The role

• Act as the designated US BSA Officer, owning programme effectiveness and examination readiness.
• Lead transaction monitoring, investigations, SAR decisions and filings, and sanctions compliance.
• Oversee KYC, enhanced due diligence, customer risk and compliance vendors.
• Lead regulatory, independent review and banking-partner responses, and drive remediation.
• Work with Product and Operations to support growth with practical, effective controls.

What I’m looking for

• At least seven years of BSA/AML experience within US-regulated financial services, including three years as a BSA Officer, Deputy or equivalent with filing authority.
• Hands‑on programme ownership within a regulated crypto, payments or fintech MSB.
• Direct experience drafting and filing SARs, alongside strong OFAC expertise and an understanding of crypto‑specific risks.
• Experience defending compliance decisions under commercial pressure and communicating clearly with senior management and the Board.
• Confidence running a lean function independently, including practical experience using AI tools responsibly in compliance workflows.
• CAMS, CFE, CCAS or similar qualifications are welcome, but proven programme ownership matters most.

You must be based in the US, authorised to work without sponsorship, and willing and eligible to serve as the named BSA Officer. Periodic international travel is required.
