Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Head of Competitive Intelligence to build and lead a world-class CI function that informs product strategy, GTM planning, and executive decision-making. This cross-functional role sits at the intersection of Product, GTM, Research, and Leadership, establishing systems and rigor to understand competitive dynamics.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in competitive intelligence or strategy roles.
• Proven ability to build and lead CI functions from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Build and own CI strategy and operating model.
• Create executive-ready competitive insights to influence product and GTM decisions.
• Develop dashboards and reports tracking competitive movements and trends.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Leadership on strategic differentiation.
• Establish repeatable processes for collecting and distributing CI across the company.
• Support leadership with board-ready analyses and market briefings.
