Job summary

Unknown is seeking a Community Relations Superintendent to lead a Nevada mining operation's engagement efforts with regulators, tribal entities, communities, and government. The role focuses on building a high-performing team and maintaining strong, proactive relationships.

The position emphasizes execution of a long-term strategy, risk mitigation, and alignment with environmental stewardship while coordinating with permitting, legal, and operations to support local hiring and community

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Environmental Science, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• 7+ years in community relations, stakeholder engagement, or public affairs.
• Mining or heavy industry experience preferred.
• Ability to lead and develop teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a long-term community relations strategy aligned with site goals and permitting.
• Build and mentor a community relations team and set roles and expectations.
• Engage with local communities, counties, tribes, state and federal agencies, NGOs, and residents.
• Lead public meetings, outreach programs, and community events.
• Coordinate communications, reporting, and public disclosures.
• Establish and maintain the Borealis community grievance mechanism and issue resolution process.
• Collaborate with Environmental, Permitting, Legal, Operations, HR, and Corporate teams.
