Vibra Hospital of Northern California in Redding, CA seeks a Chief Clinical Officer to lead nursing and clinical services, shaping policy and staffing plans. You will partner with physicians to enhance patient care, manage budgets, and drive quality initiatives in a 50-bed ICU and 32-bed SNF setting.

The role requires a BSN, a relevant master's, RN license, and strong management experience. BLS/ACLS certifications and multi-site readiness are expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Nursing, Health Administration, or related field required.
• Five years in Nursing Management supervising patient care.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Possession of driver’s license may be required for multi-site work.

Responsibilities

• Direct and facilitate activities of nursing and clinical services.
• Lead hospital decision-making and develop staffing plans and budgets.
• Ensure competence of clinical staff and appropriate patient care staffing.
• Develop hospital-wide policies and improve care quality and resources.
• Collaborate with physicians to address patient needs and systems.

We are seeking a Chief Clinical Officer to join our team!

Hospital Details

Vibra Hospital of Northern California, located in Redding, CA, is a 50 bed Critical Care Hospital and a 32 bed SNF providing long-term acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

Responsible for directing and facilitating the activities of nursing and clinical services. Assumes an active leadership role in the hospital’s decision-making structure and process. Ensuring and facilitates competence of the clinical staff, appropriate staffing for patient care, and clinical program development. Develops hospital-wide systems, policies and procedures designed to meet the patient care need. Has overall responsibility and accountability for the development of staffing plans and development and implementation of departmental budgets. Responsible for planning for the appropriate utilization of resources, maintaining or improving the work environment, and monitoring and improving the quality and appropriateness of care. Assures appropriate staff for the acuity of the patients. Works closely with Physicians to address patient care needs and enhance patient care systems. Promotes the facility through active involvement and participation in external and internal activities concerning health care services.

Required Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing, Health Administration, or a related field – such as Public Health or Business Administration is required.
• Candidates enrolled in an applicable master’s program may be considered if they provide a written plan to complete the degree within two years. Five (5) years experience in a Nursing Management position supervising the delivery of patient care required.
• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
• Valid driver’s license may be required where work is provided in multiple sites.

• Previous experience in LTAC preferred.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
