Brooklyn Center is actively seeking an experienced Chief Clinical Dietitian for our Skilled Nursing Facility in Brooklyn, New York.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides information about clinical “best practices” to the Company and Clinical dietary team.
- Works with regional and local clinical staff to establish quarterly and annual performance improvement goals and writes quarterly QAPI plans to reach those goals.
- Supports and facilitates Company and facility values, practice standards, and ethics policies and procedures.
- Provides training for dietitians regarding company policies and standards of best practice.
- Demonstrates customer service principles in all interactions (staff-staff, staff to resident/patient, staff to family members, management to line staff, etc.).
- Reviews and supports outcomes of Food Satisfaction Surveys.
- Conducts clinical assessments, develops care plans, and reviews MDS.
- Participates in comprehensive care conferences.
- Provides consultation on labor management.
- Participates in Food Council and resident satisfaction surveys.
- Leads dietary staff development.
- Monitors clinical outcomes measurements and reports findings.
- Provides consultation on staffing patterns and plans.
- Implements and oversees Quality Assurance / Process Improvement (QAPI) systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (but not limited to):
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition from a nationally accredited college/university.
- National registration from the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensure from the NY State Department of Education.
- At least two years of experience as a clinical dietitian and one year in nutrition and/or food service management.
- Excellent command of the English language, both oral and written.
- Proficiency in computer skills (Outlook, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, clinical software systems/EMR, internet).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven management and leadership abilities.
- Experience in education, teaching, and training adult learners.
- Knowledge of regulatory processes (Federal and State Regulations).
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Nutritional Services.

- Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to relate positively and effectively with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and staff.
- Interest in working with long-term care residents and the elderly.
