Under general direction, performs advanced clerical, records, customer service, and administrative support work for a department, division, or major organizational unit.
Coordinates and performs difficult, complex, or specialized clerical work. Establishes priorities and ensures the timely and accurate completion of records, documents, correspondence, reports, data entry, scheduling, customer service activities, and other assigned functions. Reviews records and documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures, state and federal laws. Maintains records, files, databases, and other information systems and prepares routine or specialized reports.
Coordinates workflow and assists with records, customer service, and procedural matters. May coordinate activities involving other work units, City departments, or the public. May provide lead direction or supervise staff, depending on the assignment. Performs other job-related duties as required.Applicants who do not possess a High School Diploma or recognized high school equivalency credential at the time of appointment must obtain one within one year of employment.
Five years of full-time paid progressively responsible experience in clerical, office support, records, customer service, or administrative support operations is required. At least two years of the required experience must include responsibility for coordinating clerical processes, office support functions, records activities, workflow, or comparable functions in the public or private sector.
Two years of relevant experience may substitute for each year of college education lacking.)
Strong written, verbal, reading, interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills are required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office or comparable software is required.
Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License is required.
