Job summary

Compass Health Center in Northbrook seeks a Medical Director for Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. This role provides clinical leadership and ensures evidence-based care for the youngest patients. Responsibilities include mentoring psychiatry providers, conducting psychiatric evaluations, and leading community engagement efforts to improve mental health awareness.

Ideal candidates are MD or DO with board certification in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and a valid Illinois license. They should have substantial experience in mental health treatment and executive management skills.

Qualifications

• 6+ years post-residency or fellowship experience; prior medical or executive management experience strongly preferred.
• Skills in evaluation and treatment of mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for U18 services.
• Mentor and coach U18 psychiatry providers.
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations.

Skills

MD or DO with BE or BC in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

Valid Illinois physician license

Skilled in psychopharmacology

Experience with CBT, DBT, and ACT therapy modalities

Excellent communication and executive functioning skills

Education

Completion of an AMA-approved psychiatry residency
