Responsibilities
Ascension Saint Agnes is looking for a Chief CRNA for our Anesthesiology Department! The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience as a CRNA and will demonstrate current competency in the management and clinical responsibilites specified.
Position Highlights:

* Preceptorship opportunities with SRNAs from three local programs
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the management of nurse anesthesia services in collaboration with departments of anesthesia, surgery and nursing administration
* Develops and interprets organizational policies for budgets and personnel
* Assumes responsibility for safe and proper operation and quality control of equipment, techniques, and procedures
* Analyzes and evaluates to assure established quality patient care.
* Performs and documents a pre?anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient.
* Develops and implements an anesthetic plan of care, including monitoring modalities and post?anesthesia follow?up evaluation and care.
* Selects, obtains and administers the anesthetic plan of care, including induction, maintenance and emergence phase anesthesia.
* Recognizes alterations in physiologic responses to the surgical procedure and/or the anesthetic, takes appropriate action and notifies the responsible physician as indicated.
Requirements
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Required Credential(s):
* BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
* Nurse Anesthetist credentialed from the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
* Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
Preferred Credential(s):
* Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA). Verified by local Credentialing Office.
Education:
* Master's or Doctorate of Nursing Anesthesia Practice or Nursing Practice required.
