University of Mount Saint Vincent is seeking a Campus Safety Officer to patrol campus grounds, monitor access control, and respond to emergencies. The role requires reporting and safeguarding campus property while enforcing policies and local laws.

The position of Officer for the Campus Safety department works under the direction and supervision of the Director and Assistant Director for Campus Safety. All officers on shift will directly report to the Lead Supervisor or Supervisor assigned to the shift. As an essential employee of UMSV, you must remain or report for work during partial or full-day closings of the site due to hazardous or other emergency conditions as well as inclement weather.
Generally, Campus Safety Officer position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure campus environment by patrolling the grounds, monitoring surveillance systems, and responding to emergencies. Officers enforce UMSV policies and local laws, control access to facilities, and assist students and staff with safety/security concerns. Additionally, they handle incident reporting and provide support during emergencies such as medical situations, fires, or security threats. Their role is essential in ensuring the safety of the UMSV community and protecting campus property.
Allotted hourly rate is $22.06
