Responsibilities

• Serves as the County's Building Official.
• Serves as the County's Fire Code Official.
• Acts as signatory for COs issued by Jefferson County.
• Interprets codes and ordinances for construction professionals and the public.
• Oversees enforcement of codes and ordinances through inspections and notices.
• Oversees plan reviews to ensure code compliance.
• Maintains inspection records and prepares for court cases.
• Performs administrative duties including reports and records management.
• Supervises staff by assigning work and providing training.
