About The Role

As a Chief Building Engineer, you will oversee engineering operations, vendors, and subcontractors. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on buildings, systems, vehicles, and grounds, applying skills across trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling. You will monitor building systems and ensure optimal operation.

What You’ll Do

• Follow all applicable codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Lead operations, assign work, and train coworkers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with clients for maintenance scheduling to minimize disruptions.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Monitor building systems like fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing.
• Inspect work performed by engineering staff.
• Respond to emergencies promptly.
• Provide informal technical guidance and coordinate tasks within the team.

What You’ll Need

• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• Associate's degree or equivalent plus at least 7 years of related experience or trade school training.
• Universal CFC certification and other licenses as required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Physical ability to perform tasks involving stooping, standing, climbing, and lifting 40 lbs.
• Ability to operate EMS and CMMS systems.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
• Focus on safety for self and others.

For California residents, the salary range is $95,000 to $150,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
