About the Role:

As a Chief Building Engineer Supervisor, you will supervise the team responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing ongoing maintenance and repair operations for a facility, a campus, or a portfolio of buildings.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. Responsibilities include providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Track the training and development of staff; conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching opportunities.
  2. Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities; establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
  3. Develop, implement, and communicate preventive maintenance programs and safety procedure manuals.
  4. Ensure mechanics and technicians have the proper information and materials to complete work activities efficiently.
  5. Develop material and labor cost estimates for work orders, preventative maintenance activities, systems, and construction projects.
  6. Establish and maintain budgets for facilities maintenance.
  7. Respond to emergency situations and seek assistance when needed.
  8. Apply advanced knowledge to develop new methods for accomplishing objectives.
  9. Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in various areas within the function.
  10. Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  11. Contribute to new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans.
  12. Communicate complex ideas effectively.

What You’ll Need:

  1. High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5-8 years of job-related experience; a combination of experience and education may be considered.
  2. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
  3. Meet the physical requirements of this role including the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  4. Innovative mentality to develop methods that exceed existing solutions.
  5. Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions.
  6. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  7. Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  8. Highly sophisticated math skills.
  9. Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.

Compensation: The minimum salary is $136,000 annually and the maximum is $156,000 annually, depending on skills, qualifications, and experience.
