Job summary

SK Battery America is seeking a Chief Architect to lead the software, controls, and EMS platform for next‑generation energy storage solutions. This role reports to the Head of EMS Engineering and aligns product strategy with scalable technical architecture.

The Chief Architect will define system boundaries, interfaces, and reference architectures spanning EMS, PCS, BMS, edge/cloud, and cybersecurity, driving high availability and mission-critical performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
12+ years in software/controls/industrial systems.
Experience as system architect or senior technical leader.
Experience architecting safety-critical, high-availability systems.
Experience defining interfaces across hardware, software, networking, and cloud.

Responsibilities

Define and govern end-to-end architecture for energy storage software, controls, and EMS platform.
Develop scalable architectures for multiple battery configurations and grid applications.
Lead architecture reviews and major technical design decisions.
Mentor engineers across controls, software, networking, cybersecurity, and DevOps.
