Job summary

Ben The Builder Inc is seeking an in-office drafting professional to convert site measurements and planner sketches into Chief Architect models and permit-ready plan sets for residential remodels and additions. This role operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with no overtime or weekend work.

Strong knowledge of Chief Architect and related CAD software is essential. The candidate will work on 3D as-builts, correct perspectives, topography, framing plans, and electrical/lighting

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Chief Architect and related CAD tools used for residential drafting.
  • Experience creating 3D as-built models and accurate perspectives for remodels and additions.
  • Ability to interpret site measurements and planner sketches into permit-ready plans.
  • Familiarity with topography, framing plans, electrical/lighting layouts, and field notes.

Job description

Our drafters turn site measurements and planner sketches into accurate Chief Architect models and permit-ready plan sets for residential remodels. We work 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday — no overtime, no weekends.

This work is done in our office, not remotely. Monday through Friday. The day can be less than eight hours. We are in the office by 6:15 AM, and you start no later than 9:00 AM.
