Job summary

Palo Alto Networks seeks a Distinguished Engineer for Endpoint Engineering to unify and elevate our endpoint platform across Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. You will shape architecture, drive AI-driven telemetry, and ensure scalable deployment for millions of endpoints.

You will lead with deep OS internals expertise, cross-product influence, and strong engineering leadership, defining standards and guiding executive alignment across teams.

Qualifications

• Seasoned leadership in endpoint systems development, core networking, and OS-level software development.
• Track record of defining cross-team architecture adopted across multiple product groups.
• Deep OS internals knowledge across Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Responsibilities

• Define the Platform Architecture for a high-performance, modular core across endpoint products.
• Establish secure seams and extensions for new auth methods and protocols across platforms.
• Own systemic quality and reliability through standardized identity, memory safety, and CI/CD gates.
• Pioneer AI-native workflows, automated telemetry, crash triage, and regression verification in build pipelines.
• Drive technical excellence by setting standards and ADRs, mentoring senior engineers, and engaging with customers.
