Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Distinguished Engineer for Endpoint Engineering to be the chief architect for our access agent platform across Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. You will unify diverse agents into a single, high-performing foundation and drive AI-native enhancements across the release pipeline.

Qualifications

• Seasoned leadership in endpoint systems, core networking, and/or OS-level software development.
• Cross-team architecture that was adopted across multiple product groups.
• Deep OS internals on Windows, macOS, or Linux.
• Experience decomposing large C/C++ codebases into modular components.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to align senior staff and executives.

Responsabilités

• Define the Platform Architecture for a high-performance, modular core across networking, crypto, configuration, and telemetry.
• Create localized plugin models so new auth methods and protocol extensions land across all platforms.
• Own endpoint architecture with standardized identity, error handling, and memory-safe design integrated into CI/CD.
• Integrate AI-driven software analysis, crash triage, and telemetry into the build pipelines and product telemetry.
• Set engineering standards, author ADRs, mentor senior staff, and represent technical strategy externally.
