Job summary

North American Partners in Anesthesia is seeking a Chief Anesthesiologist for OrthoVirginia’s Shrader Practice in Richmond, VA. The role leads the anesthesia department and supports expansion of an outpatient total joint program, including shoulders, knees and hips.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited College of Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department.
• Medical management of patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible during surgery and other procedures.
• Pre‑anesthesia assessment.
• Obtaining and/or verifying patient consent.
• Discussing anesthetic options and risks with patients.
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitoring patients’ physiological condition.
• Performing clinical interventions as needed.

Description

OrthoVirginia is the largest orthopedic group in Virginia, employing over 140 physicians at 35 locations across the state. The Shrader Road practice includes top orthopedic surgeons, integrated physical therapy, and an on‑site office operatory.

Case Assignments

Routine outpatient orthopedics, focusing on expanding a new outpatient total joint program, including shoulders, knees, and hips.
