Job summary

North American Partners in Anesthesia seeks an experienced Anesthesiologist to join Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, VA. You will work with a patient-focused care team on a 1 week on / 1 week off schedule and contribute to a broad case mix.

This role offers a $575K base salary with up to $100K in incentives, fully paid malpractice coverage, competitive benefits, and leadership development opportunities in a supportive community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• ECFMG and FLEX certification.
• Completed anesthesia residency from an approved program.
• Currently licensed physician.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate activities in the Anesthesia Department.
• Manage patients under anesthesia during surgery and procedures.
• Pre-anesthesia assessment.
• Obtain and verify patient consent.
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient.
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitor patient’s physiological status.
• Perform clinical interventions as needed.

Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital is a voluntary nonprofit short-term acute care hospital with 52 Medicare-certified beds. Part of the Riverside Health system, this facility provides a full array of services and care to all patients while honoring its deep community roots. Case Assignments

• Ophthalmology, G.I., orthopedics, urology, podiatry, general surgery, OB and occasional healthy peds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department.
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures.
• Pre-anesthesia assessment.
• Obtain and/or verify patient consent.
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient.
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition.
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed.

Requirements

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine.
• ECFMG and FLEX.
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia.
• Currently licensed as a physician.
