North American Partners in Anesthesia seeks a Chief Anesthesiologist for OrthoVirginia’s Shrader practice in Richmond, VA.

This leadership role directs anesthesia services for routine outpatient orthopedics and an expanding outpatient total joint program, including shoulders, knees, and hips, with a focus on delivering care excellence.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an approved residency in anesthesia.
• Active medical license to practice in Virginia; ECFMG/FLEX as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate activities in the Anesthesia Department.
• Manage care for patients under anesthesia and during perioperative care.
• Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and obtain patient consent.
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients; supervise induction and emergence.
• Monitor physiologic status and intervene as needed during procedures.
