Job summary

N-able is seeking a Chief AI Strategist to define and steer AI strategy across the portfolio, setting technical and ethical standards for every AI capability. You will lead governance, assist GMs on AI-influenced product strategy, and coordinate with the CIO and CTO to shape SDLC and internal productivity.

This role also represents N-able externally as a trusted AI voice. You will partner with Engineering, Legal, and Marketing to drive responsible AI adoption, regulatory readiness, and

Qualifications

• 15+ years in technology leadership with 5+ years in applied AI/ML strategy in B2B software or security.
• Hands-on credibility with modern LLMs and agent systems; ability to discuss architecture with engineers and board-level stakeholders.
• Proven track record setting cross-portfolio technical standards and driving adoption by product teams.
• Depth in responsible AI, governance, or regulation.
• Proven external presence via keynote talks, publications, analyst relations, or industry voice.

Responsibilities

• Define and own a multi-year applied AI strategy across UEM, MDR/SIEM, and data protection with measurable partner outcomes.
• Lead decisions on build/partner/buy across models, agent frameworks, and AI infra; maintain investment roadmap with CTPO and leaders.
• Track agent ecosystems and translate into clear bets and concrete not-now decisions.
• Set AI platform standards and reference architectures across products for interoperability and governance.
• Be the external face of AI at N-able through keynotes, analyst briefings, and industry forums.
• Lead AI governance, consent/transparency/context principles, and gate reviews for AI capabilities.
• Build and grow a cross-functional AI council spanning Product, Engineering, Security, Legal, and Marketing.
