First Command seeks an experienced AI Governance Leader to guide enterprise governance across AI programs, risk and controls, and governance engineering. You will own the governance operating model, drive policy creation, and lead cross-functional reviews with senior leadership.

The role emphasizes driving maturity, defining standards, and delivering reports to executives, while mentoring the governance team and ensuring regulatory and privacy requirements are addressed.

• Demonstrated leadership of governance programs and cross-functional initiatives.
• Deep expertise in Responsible AI, risk management, governance operations, and governance technology platforms.

• Lead end-to-end AI governance operating model and cross-functional reviews.
• Direct governance intake, risk triage, approvals, exceptions, and escalation processes.
• Define governance standards, procedures, and operating metrics.
• Drive governance maturity and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide governance reporting and insights to executive leadership.
• Oversee policy, controls, and lifecycle management for AI projects.
• Mentor AI Governance Specialists and manage team workload and development.
• Represent governance program with executive stakeholders and control partners.
